Criteria: We’re looking for startups that are
  • Growth-stage global startups ready for market expansion
  • Committed to exploring expansion into Aichi and Japan
  • Providing tech-enabled solutions from B2B and B2C sectors
  • Able to commit at least one (1) C-suite level team member for the duration of the program
  • Willing to be physically present in Aichi for the duration of the program

Program Details

Phase 1: Understanding the Local Market and GTM Strategy
In phase one, learn the fundamentals of business expansion in Japan alongside our pool of industry expert mentors. Develop your Japan-specific go-to-market strategy, learn sales and marketing best practices, and find product-market fit in the region for your solutions.

Phase 2: Developing GTM Roadmap and Networking with Local Businesses
In this segment, startups will focus on practical applications of their learnings, have the opportunity to network with local corporate partners and stakeholders and receive 1:1 mentoring for any questions you may have during your market expansion journey.

Phase 3: Capital Growth and Pitch Prep
In the final phase of the program, startups will learn how to develop an effective presentation to industry stakeholders and receive feedback for further improvements from their assigned mentors.

Japan is the third-largest economy in the world and Aichi Prefecture is *ranked second in highest GDP after Tokyo. Many leading companies chose this region to establish regional headquarters for business. Since 1977, Aichi has maintained the *No.1 position in Japan in the total shipment value of manufactured products.

Situated at the heart of Japan in between Tokyo and Osaka, Aichi Prefecture is known as one of the gateways to the Asian market for international business ventures. In addition, the business expenses are relatively low compared to other major metropolitan cities such as Tokyo and Osaka.
