What are you looking for in an applicant?

We look for candidates with experience making early stage investments. Previous attendees include angel investors, VCs, fund managers, and deal lawyers.

Applicants should also be:

  • Available to commit full-time to 4 days of coursework.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Focused on identifying and empowering great entrepreneurs in their ecosystems.
How do I enroll in a program?

What is the enrollment deadline for a program?

The official dates will be announced in Fall 2021.

What is the cost of the program?

The tuition for Deal Camp is $9,200. Payment can be made by wire transfer, check, or credit card through PayPal.

Are there any scholarship opportunities for the accepted applicants?

Applications for Deal Camp investor scholarships are currently closed. Subscribe to our email list to learn about more opportunities.

How do I apply as a non-profit?

We are not currently offering discounted pricing for non-profit organizations. We encourage applicants to apply for scholarship.

Does the course require a full-time commitment?

Yes, the program is designed as a full day program running from 8:30am to 6pm every day. It is expected that participants devote 100% of this time to the program.

What is the class size?

The average size of our program is 30 participants and is designed to ensure that all participants have an opportunity to receive mentoring and feedback from the 500 and Berkeley teams.

How long has this program been running?

We have run seven Deal Camp programs. We will be educating our 8th cohort of investors during our next session in Berkeley.

Where will the program take place?

The Deal Camp program takes place at UC Berkeley’s Law School.
